ABOUT PURE ESSENCE BODY CARE

Pure Essence Body Care was started by us, Tara and Fara Hayward of Central Florida.  Our goal was to create a business based on the fundamental principle that natural is best. 

We have always been interested in organic and natural body care products.  Our fascination goes back to childhood when we spent summers on our grandparent's farm in North Carolina.  Our grandmother, Rosa Mae Henry-Peppers, held an interest in natural remedies.  She had an herb garden where she grew herbs such as, Catnip, Comfrey, Dandelion, Lavender, Mint, Rosemary, etc.  She even kept Calamus root on hand, which grew in a creek that ran through the property.  We spent years watching our "Granny" incorporate various herbs and roots into items that were used on the skin and also as cures for illness.  She even included a plant called, Pipsissewa (Rat’s Vein), into her hair care products to treat scalp problems.    As the years passed our knowledge of natural and organic essential oils, carrier oils, and butters increased.  We started to pay more attention to not only what they were putting into our bodies, but on them as well.  Today, our mission is to offer natural skin care products made with natural and certified organic ingredients that are truly good for your skin.

Commitment to Quality

Our products are handcrafted in small batches to ensure you receive the highest quality product possible.  We use the highest-quality, certified-organic, or natural butters and oils for our body wash, body oils, sugar scrubs, body butters,  bath salts, and massage bars. Our products are toxin-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and free from all artificial preservatives, and dyes.   We do use fragrance oils.  However, if you have sensitive skin we offer fragrance free products in scents, such as, Lavender, Citrus, and Jasmine Neroli.  We do not use any animal based ingredients, nor do we use any low quality botanicals.  There is no testing on animals, nor do we support the testing of products on animals.  We use the highest quality ingredients available, including certified organic whenever possible. Our products are pure, unadulterated and highly effective.  Complete customer satisfaction is our first priority. We are not happy until you are.
